Dr. Roxzanne J. Amos

DMD

Dr. Roxzanne Amos earned her Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 1997. Energized about advances in all aspects of dentistry, she devotes more than 100 hours per year to state-of-the-art continuing education and has completed the core curriculum at the Dawson Academy. Dr. Amos also studies at the world-renown Pankey Institute which specializes in complex oral health evaluations and restorations as well as the Spear Institute. She is passionate about helping her patients improve their overall health through excellent dental care.

She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the American Academy of General Dentistry and  the American Equilibration Society.  

Dr Amos has traveled to Guatemala many times to serve on dental/medical mission teams to bring relief and care to those who need it desperately. She grew up in Winter Park, Florida. She moved to Virginia Beach in 2003 when the US Navy assigned her husband, Mike, to NAS Oceana.  They enjoyed the area so much, when her husband retired from the Navy, they decided to stay and raise their family.  They now reside in Virginia Beach with their son Luke. Dr Amos enjoys cooking and baking for her family and friends, being an active member of her church, and focusing on health and fitness activities.


Karen

Dental Hygienist

Karen has been practicing dentistry for over 15 years! She is a native of Massachusetts who received her dental hygiene degree from Forsyth School for Dental Hygienists in Boston, MA. While vacationing at the beach, she met her husband and decided to become a permanent resident.

Her goal is to educate her patients and help them understand that great oral hygiene is a key ingredient to maintaining a happy, healthy lifestyle.

Outside of work she enjoys spending time playing golf and volleyball with her husband and two kids and taking her German Shepherd for walks on the beach.


Tracey

Dental Hygienist

Tracey describes herself as a wife, mother, passionate dental hygienist, volunteer, advocate, consultant, entrepreneur, and wine enthusiast.

She is a graduate of Old Dominion University, with a degree in Dental Hygiene, and a minor in Psychology. She believes in lifelong learning, is a self-proclaimed continuing education “geek”, and is passionate about helping bring patients to total health. She is involved in community activities, and currently serves as President of the Virginia Dental Hygienists’ Association.

During down time, Tracey enjoys spending time with her husband, Brad, and son, Henry, as well as cooking, walking, and as much beach time as possible.


Maddie

Dental Assistant

Maddie began her dental assisting career in high school, where she completed a two-year dental assisting course. After graduating in 2019 she started working full time with several general dentists, prosthodontists, periodontists and oral surgeons in Southern Maryland. In October of 2021 Maddie moved to Virginia Beach and has been a dental assistant here at Bright Life Dentistry!

Maddie’s favorite part about her job is seeing patient’s reactions to their smile transformations, or simply helping a patient get out of pain.

When Maddie is not at work, she enjoys spending time at the beach or with her family. 


Susana

Practice Administrator

Susana has been working in the dental profession since 2003 and is overjoyed to be a part of the Bright Life Dentistry team. She has completed a numerous of administrative, clinical and insurance seminars throughout the years in several parts of the country. She enjoys learning new things every day.

She loves assisting our patients to help them understand their dental benefits, how to maximize the use of their benefits, and to submit and process insurance claims for them. She finds it very rewarding to see people leave the office smiling and feeling good about themselves. She is bilingual and is well versed in both English and Spanish. 

Outside of the office, she enjoys watching movies, listening to music, and completing home projects together with her husband. She also enjoys spending time with her three dogs. 


Khierra

Dental Assistant

Khierra has been working in the dental profession since 2018. She began her dental assisting career after completing 9 months in the dental assistant program at Concorde University.

She began working full-time in general dentistry and later went into orthodontic assisting in Orlando, FL. In June of 2023, she moved to Virginia and became part of the Bright Life Dentistry family working as a dental assistant.

She describes herself as a mother, wife, and people person. 

Her favorite part about the job is seeing patients get their confidence back and smiling faces, the satisfaction of helping those in need.

Outside of the office she enjoys spending family time, family crafts, being a mother to her kids, Rylen, Kyven, and Dominic, trying new food and traveling.



Theresa

Practice Administrator

Theresa began her dental career 36 years ago, as a part-time receptionist after school. After serving in the U.S. Navy, as an electronics technician, she rejoined the civilian world as a dental assistant. She has spent time in the dental office as a treatment and financial coordinator, practice administrator and office manager, as well as performing other front office positions.

Outside of the office, Theresa's life is enriched by her husband, son, and two dogs. She enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time at the beach. 


Trish - Retired

Dental Assistant

Trish earned her CDA at ODU in 1987.  She was a chairside dental assistant for 36 years before finally retiring on May 31, 2023.  As a seasoned assistant, she was happy to join Dr. Amos and the Bright Life Dentistry team!

She was born in West Virginia and moved to Virginia Beach in 1986. She loves spending time with my family, day hiking with her daughter in the mountains, and riding motorcycles with her husband. She loves the beach, concerts, and cooking! Trish's faith and church are an important part of her life.

She loved being a dental assistant and caring for our patients.  She wanted to make them feel comfortable and confident that they are in good hands and getting the best dental care.  Trish wanted to autograph her work with excellence and put a smile on our patient's faces!

She loved coming to the office and feeling at home with each staff member.  She appreciates how everyone works together for the good of our patients and each other. She was proud to be working with such a nice group of women!
